Job Details
High School/GED Required
At Integrace we believe in the value of relationships. Our companion role becomes a vital link of the residents' daily life. They act as a surrogate caregiver and friend when family members cannot be there. They may perform homemaking, personal care, and social services for the resident who may need a little extra attention or companionship. Companions stay with residents during the day or evening talking with them, watching television, playing cards or board games and reading to them. They provide emotional support, caregiver assistance, light housekeeping and companionship to help our residents function independently in their own home environments.
Education: High School or equivalent
Licenses, Certifications, Registrations: CPR and first aid (within the first 90 days of employment)
Experience: Previous work with geriatrics preferred
Knowledge: (Commonly known principles required for this field of work)
1. Knowledge and practice of safe lifting and back care techniques
2. Knowledge of general safety issues with wheelchairs
3. Knowledge of practices of care of the geriatric resident



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
